Terms of Use

About these terms
These terms apply to Level Architect: the game, its online features and level-architect.com (together, the service). The service is offered by Anders Petruschke, trading as Woanders Studio, Aachen, Germany ("we"; see the Impressum). By using the online features you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is explained in the privacy policy.
Your account
You can play online as a guest or sign in with an account through Unity. If you are under 16, you need a parent's or guardian's permission; children under 13 may only play with that permission and under a parent's or guardian's supervision. You are responsible for what happens with your account, so keep your sign in to yourself. The online features are free.
Your levels
The levels you publish stay yours. By publishing a level, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, show and make it playable in the game and on level-architect.com for as long as it is online, including its name, description and image (also in link previews), and to adapt it technically where needed, for example to a newer level format. Other players may play it, like it, set times on it and save it on their devices.
The licence ends when you or we delete the level, except for copies other players saved on their devices. If you delete your account and keep your levels online, they stay under this licence without your name.
Only publish what you have the right to publish. You may record, stream and share videos of the game, including monetised ones.
Rules
There is no tolerance for objectionable content. Do not publish or send anything, in levels, level names, descriptions, usernames or reports, that:
- is illegal, or infringes the rights of others (such as copyright, trademarks or personal rights);
- is hateful or discriminating, or glorifies violence or extremism;
- is sexual or pornographic;
- harasses, threatens or bullies anyone, or shares personal information about others;
- is spam, advertising or a scam.
This includes pictures drawn with tiles. Also do not cheat on leaderboards or stats, attack or overload the service, get around a moderation decision (for example with a new account), or send reports you know to be false.
Moderation
Automatic checks: the server refuses usernames, level names, descriptions and report comments that contain a word on its block list. You can change the text and try again. The check is automatic and can be wrong; tell us if it blocks something harmless.
Reports: anyone can report a level or player, in the game (Report in a level's menu, Report player on a profile) or without the game through the support page. A person reviews every report. If you reported through the support page, we tell you the outcome by email.
Measures: depending on how serious a breach is and whether it happened before, we may hide or delete a level, restrict an account (it can still play, but not publish, rename, like or report), or block it (it can no longer sign in, and its levels, profile and times disappear).
Reasons and appeals: when we take such a measure, we tell you, where we can reach you, what we did, why (which rule or law), and whether it came from a report or an automatic check. If you think a decision is wrong, write to support@woanders.studio within six months, with your profile code or the level code. A person looks at it again and tells you the result. You can also take legal action.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time: in the game, Settings, Delete Account. You choose whether your levels are deleted too or stay online credited to "Deleted player". We may block accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We may change the service or end the online features; we will announce an end in good time.
Warranty and liability
The service is free and provided as it is. We cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. Levels are made by players; we do not check them before they go online, and they are not our content.
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaching an obligation that is essential to the service and that you may rely on, and only for the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for a good reason, such as new features or changes in the law. We tell you about important changes in the game before they apply. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
Law and disputes
German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer protection of that country still applies to you. We are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution before a consumer arbitration board. If a clause of these terms is invalid, the rest stays valid.
